Prayas: Demonstrating Criminal Justice Social Work

Abstract

Prayas was initiated by the Centre for Criminology and Justice, School of Social Work,
in response to the needs of disadvantaged groups being processed by the Criminal
Justice System (CJS). Apart from the rationale and the objectives of Prayas, the article
traces the locations of the project, the operational strategies over the different phases
of the project, contribution to knowledge, research and policy formulation in the field of
Criminal Justice.
